The TLM330 is the advanced professional LDM, accurately measuring up to 330 feet, about the length of a football field. This unit has a multitude of features including 3 different Pythagoras functions, triangular area calculation, min/max distance tracking, and a stake-out function to accurately measure the same length repeatedly. The TLM330 even features an inclination sensor that allows the unit to be used as a digital level/angle finder.
The TLM165 is created for advanced DIYer's or professionals and can measure up to 165 feet, has a memory function to store your previous five measurements, and has Pythagoras functions. The Pythagoras tool is a real problem-solver because it helps calculate indirect height measurements by calculating the third side of a triangle. As a result, you can measure from where you are standing to the top of the height you want to measure, and then to the bottom, once you have those measurements, the Pythagoras function will calculate the height distance between those two points.
