New Britain, Conn., August, 21, 2006 – The Stanley Works (NYSE: SWK) introduces the STANLEY® FatMax® Xtreme™ Utility Knife, the latest edition to Stanley’s FatMax® Xtreme™ line of tools. The knife, which comes in both retractable and fixed blade versions, has an all-metal construction for increased durability and a variety of features to increase ease-of-use.
In addition to the durable construction, the FatMax® Xtreme™ Utility Knife features a magnetic nose and Rare Earth magnets to securely hold the blades while being changed as well as a textured die-cast finish to provide a slip-resistant grip and an easy-to-clean surface. The product’s clamping dial, which allows the user to control the width of the blade opening to lock any STANLEY® blade firmly in place, is also still large enough to easily handle with gloves on.
