NEW YORK CITY, NY – JUNE 17, 2010 - Stanley® announced today the introduction of a new utility cutter during its new product luncheon at the Westin New York Hotel. Strategic Business Unit Leader Stephen Skeels said, "Versatility is the key benefit of the new Stanley® utility cutter. Thanks to a wide one-inch opening, it can tackle a variety of applications such as cutting dowel rods, pruning trees, slicing tubing and making clean, decisive cuts into a wide variety of other materials."
The new Stanley® cutter (10-230) accepts standard utility blades, which are widely available at many retailers. It also features on-board storage for up to five blades for convenience. Available at mass retailers, home centers, hardware stores, and online retailers in October 2010, this product is expected to sell for approximately $9.99.
