NEW YORK CITY, NY – JUNE 17, 2010 - Stanley® announced today the introduction of a new FatMax® reversible nail set during its new product luncheon at the Westin New York Hotel. Strategic Business Unit Leader Chris Woolley said, "The two most popular nail set sizes are now available in one easy tool … not to mention that it accepts conventional bit tips and can double as a convenient screwdriver."
This unique design features a double-ended insert that provides a 1/32" nail set on one end and a 2/32" nail set on the other. To alternate between sizes, users can simply remove the insert, flip it around and re-insert the tip into the sleeve. The sleeve, which is made of bi-material, reduces slippage and adds comfort to the user. Its knurled locking collar secures the nail set into place while providing a fast and easy changeover. Additionally, the FatMax® reversible nail set features an all-metal striking tip for the solid transfer of striking power and durability.
The new FatMax® nail set (58-501) includes the basic tool sleeve and double-ended insert. Currently available on the market, it retails for approximately $9.99 and should be available at home centers, construction supply stores, and online retailers.
