Orlando, Florida, January 13, 2005
- Stanley (NYSE: SWK) today announced the introduction of
the FatMax™ Adjustable Sawhorse. The new sawhorse is the first
from Stanley to possess the durability, bold styling and innovative
features required to become a member of the FatMax™ line of
products. Additionally, the tool was recently honored with
a 2004 Good Design Award.
The newly designed sawhorse includes four strong, lightweight
telescopic aluminum legs, which can be independently adjusted
to various lengths up to 8 inches, for use on uneven work
surfaces such as a staircase or non-uniform, rutted terrain.
To further enhance user comfort and improve efficiency on
the jobsite, the sawhorse is designed to carry up to 1000
pounds at several adjustable heights from 32-39 inches. Height
indicators integrated into the legs of the sawhorse help users
quickly and accurately identify the height of the top of the
sawhorse. To help maximize stability, each leg is equipped
with rubber grips on the soles.
Other features of the FatMax™ Adjustable Sawhorse that add
to its functionality include an integrated pipe v-groove and
two lumber slots to keep pipes and wood securely in place
when cutting, sanding or filing. Anti-resistant rubber inserts
on both sides of the top bar secure materials placed on top
of the sawhorse.
For added convenience, the sawhorse includes a folding tray
to keep tools and accessories close- at-hand while working
around the sawhorse.
When the sawhorse is not in use, its space-saving design
allows it to fold down to 2.5 inches for tucking it away in
a tight spot where a conventional sawhorse may not fit.
“Since we launched the STANLEY® FatMax™ product
line almost six years ago, consumers have come to associate
it with durability, bold styling and performance-centric features,”
said Ori Goren, Product Manager for Stanley Storage Products.
“We are confident that the durability, styling and highly
functional features we have built into this sawhorse will
meet, and in many cases, surpass consumer expectations.”
The STANLEY® FatMax™ Adjustable Sawhorse is available
at Lowe’s and The Home Depot and has a suggested retail
price of $29.99 or $59.90 for a twin pack. For more information
